Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care - Sepsis Clinical Care Standard

The Sepsis Clinical Care Standard ensures that a patient presenting with signs and symptoms of sepsis receives optimal care, from symptom onset through to discharge from hospital and survivorship care.

  • Sepsis Clinical Care Standard 2022
    The Sepsis Clinical Care Standard will help to ensure sepsis is recognised early and patients receive coordinated, best-practice care so that the risk of death or ongoing morbidity is reduced. This includes timely recognition of sepsis, early and appropriate antimicrobial therapy and continuity of care from the acute setting through to discharge and survivorship.
     

Australian Sepsis Network

Sepsis Australia works with collaborating partners in the Australian Sepsis Network (ASN) to leverage, emulate and propagate best practices for sepsis. 
 

Australian Sepsis Grand Round

The Australian Sepsis Grand Round (ASGR) is a free online event series dedicated to advancing best-practice sepsis care and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals. Since its inception as the Victorian Sepsis Grand Round in 2021, ASGR has become a hub for knowledge exchange and professional development, uniting clinicians from Australia and worldwide.
 

Global Sepsis Alliance (GSA)

The GSA is made up of 7 regional sepsis alliances to work closer with local stakeholders, regional governments, and regional WHO offices, and to enact key performance indicators from the WHA Sepsis Resolution adopted by the WHO in May 2017.

Society of Critical Medicine- Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC)

The international Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) is a joint initiative of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), led by multidisciplinary international experts who are committed to reducing mortality and morbidity from sepsis and septic shock, which are leading causes of death worldwide.
